Can silkscreen be replaced by offset printing?

It depends. It is important to realize that the Offset printing and Silkscreen printing are two processes fundamentally different. They are used for different purposes.

Offset printing will be used for complex artwork with gradual colors and many details. And Silkscreen printing will be used for simpler artwork with a precise number

of colors. For further details, please call us at +86 0760-88506862 or send us an email.

What is the difference between offset printing and silkscreen printing?

First of all, Silkscreen and Offset printing do not refer to the same colour guides. Silkscreen printing is done refering to the Pantone (or HKS) color reference. On the other hand, Offset printing refers to the CMYK color reference.
Secondly, the two processes are used for different purposes; Silkscreen will be used for artworks with non-gradient printing, while Offset printing will be used for artwork with gradient colors printing (example: a photo picture)
Thirdly, the painting colors used for Silkscreen printing is thicker than the one used for Offset printing. Offset printing uses painting colors that are more liquid to get thinner grain and detailed definition.

What is Pantone or PMS Color?

Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a proprietary color space used in a variety of industries, primarily printing, though sometimes in the manufacture of colored Paint, fabric, and plastics. We normally use Pantone Solid Coated colors for our lanyard/wristband color and logo/ soft enamel color.

How can I find a Pantone color?

To locate a Pantone color you can go to www.pantone.com or you can search Pantone color in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop. You can also find your Artwork color with Adobe Photoshop. The following steps can be helpful:
1 Open your art file (PSD, JPEG, JPG, TFF, PNG, EPS, PDF) in Photoshop.
2 Select The "Eye Dropper" tool from the left side panel of Adobe Photoshop.  (Eye Dropper)
3 Now select the section of the artwork of which you want to know the PMS info.
4 Now Select the "Set Foreground Color" tool from the left side panel and double click it.
5 A new window will open, here Click on the "Color Libraries"
6 Another new window will appear and here you will see the Pantone color code of your selected section of your Artwork.
Through this method you can easily find the PMS code you need for your design. If you don't have Adobe Photoshop installed, you can just ask our team to help you find out the PMS colors for you. We are here to help 24/7.

What file format is acceptable for production?

Please kindly send us vector art in “CDR” or “AI” or “EPS” format for our further procedure.
If you could only provide JPG file, please save the file in CMYK format. Additionally, we must have your guarantee that the file is your originality or you own the authorization, and the file won’t be changed in any circumstance while we open it. The resolution of “JPG” file must be 300dpi or above, otherwise objects will be vague while enlarging the arts.
